Jacksonville University (JU) is a small, private comprehensive university located in Jacksonville, Florida.  We are conducting a search for a full time varsity sailing head coach for our recently upgraded sailing program.  We have achieved varsity status, so we are looking for experienced candidates to build a highly competitive program and recruit top quality sailors. Highlights of the position include competitve salary with benefits, opportunties for continuing education, but especially growing a brand new sailing program from the ground, up.  Currently, the JU sailing team competes as a regular member of SAISA in regional and invitational events. We aim toward being nationally competitive and consider the head coaching position to be critical to this process. Jacksonville University is located on the St. Johns river, so we sail on campus. Our fleet includes 8 420's, 4 Lasers, 4 JY-15's, and a Catalina 22. Plans for further upgrades include a new fleet, dock improvements, and a new sailing center.
