Varsity sailing is open to all Dartmouth students who are interested in developing their sailing skills. Dartmouth attracts top junior sailors from around the nation and welcomes anyone who has sailed casually in the past and even those who have never sailed at all. The team is open to natural athletes who are willing to learn a fun and challenging sport.
Each weekend the Dartmouth sailing team enters up to 10 regattas around New England. Regattas range from top-level varsity intersectionals to freshman series events for the newest sailors to augment their skills. The sport is unique because sailors of all skill levels get the chance to compete, each in a regatta of their ability.
With three national championships and 52 All-Americans in Dartmouth's lauded history, the Big Green sailing team continues to be one of the best in the nation.
