Lake Sunapee Yacht Club

The Lake Sunapee Yacht Club is a family focused summer only club located on the western shore of Lake Sunapee in Sunapee NH. The club offers sailing, tennis and swimming programs for juniors and is also the host of a large inland fleet of Star class one design racing boats. The club hosts the Lake Sunapee Open regatta annually, as well as other regattas including district level Star regattas and recently, the North American championships.

The LSYC is a private club, however Star sailing is open to non-members.

The LSYC has roots that go back to 1907, when Soo-Nipi Park Yacht Club was formed, and a club house was added a year later, on the opposite, eastern side of Lake Sunapee. Eventually, in 1925, the clubhouse was moved to the current location. Through the years, additions have expanded the club, and steady improvements have been made. However, the main ball room and massive fireplace remain, and retain their 1920's character.
