Description
Yacht Description:
The Quest 33 is as remarkable for her interior as she is for her sailing abilities - comfortable, well ventilated, and especially roomy for a boat this size. The cabin aft is large enough to sleep north, south, east, or west. At the base of the companionway there is a galley to port with a 2-burner stove, icebox and sink, with stowage outboard. To starboard there is a fully equipped, enclosed head with ample headroom. Further forward on the starboard side, the navigation area is served from the salon seat. The main cabin has comfortable full-sized settee berths 6-feet 6-inches long, each with seat backs and an optional drop leaf table. It's a perfect area for dining or socializing, and a great offwatch area while sailing. With any boat, there is an intangible quality that is so important - trust. The Quest 33 is a boat to keep its crew safe and secure, no matter what the weather. Her deck is surrounded by a recessed toerail. The deck is laid out so that the boat can be sailed without ever going forward of the companionway. The Quest 33 is faster than many boats 5 to 10 feet longer. Whether racing around the buoys, beating the rest to a favorite anchorage, or just trying to get back to work on time, the 33 will make other boat owners sit up and take notice as she glides past them. The long waterline and extended lines aft give the boat superb stability and reaching power. The Quest 33 has a refined sail plan and an ergonomically designed deck layout, making it the easiest boat on the market to sail. Features like the recessed roller furling, all recessed halyard and asymmetric spinnaker control lines make the boat a snap to use, and to put away when the day is over. The deck is second to none, with top-of-the-line Harken Black Magic hardware and Lewmar hatches. The keel and rudder are the latest in high aspect foil design; a carbon Composite Solutions rudder post is standard, making the rudder thinner and stronger than the competition. Single line reefing allows sail to be shortened in under a minute; the huge cockpit lockers have plenty of room to store fenders, wet dock lines, and sails - helping to keep the interior of the boat dry; the cockpit lazarette has enough room for an inflatable dinghy or raft; and finally, the forward anchor locker keeps the anchor where its needed and keeps muck off the deck while cruising. The Quest 33 is built using the Scrimp resin-infused system, which provides the best possible production laminate quality. The finest materials for scrimping the hulls and decks are used: vinylester resin and the lightest foam and balsa core with all unidirectional glass fibers. Bulkheads are all foam cored.
