Research A Class

LaserPerformance runs World Open Regatta on both sides of the pond, simultaneously!

LaserPerformance North America and LaserPerformance Europe will host the inaugural LaserPerformance World Open Regatta June 26th – 27th, 2010 with US racing held at Sail Newport in Newport, Rhode Island and European racing held at SailLaser Weymouth, England and Portland National Sailing Academy.  When the scores are in an overall LaserPerformance World Open Champion will be selected using a scoring matrix that takes into account the size of the fleet and finishes.

The event will bring together the Laser, Laser Radial and Sunfish classes for a weekend of top level competitive racing.  The Bug class will enjoy “fun races”, suitable for less experience sailors as well as budding youth sailors.  LaserPerformance and Sail Newport have a number of Bugs available for charter, so even if you’re not a boat owner, there are plenty of opportunities to get afloat and get involved, no need to be a landlubber!

US Entry fee is a bargain at $70.00 including food and entertainment.

I have attached the full press release with more information and images.  As always, if you would like more information, have questions or would like additional quotes or an interview, we are at your service, and of course if you would like press access to the event and access to a press boat we would love to have you!

Sail Legendary,

Yours,

Sarah H. Schaill
