Do you want to thrive in the American Caribbean and avoid another frigid mainland winter?  Can you handle owning your own business and being your own boss?  Do you like interacting with globe-trotting clients in a tropical setting?  Do you love sailing?

If so, consider buying my successful sail loft business, the largest and best-known in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.

This life isn't for everyone:  You'll need a desire for adventure, capacity to learn new things, flexibility in a new and fascinating culture, and self-determination.

You will however gain skills you might not gain elsewhere to include self-reliance, responsibility, project management, business management, and if things go well even a sense of humor and a great catalog of yarns to spin over a tumbler of pirate's punch with your new island friends.

St. Thomas is an exciting place; we have a huge new world-class marina filled with superyachts, beautiful waters for cruising and racing, and direct flights to US hubs from this US territory.

This boatyard - where the loft is located - has a brand new multimillion dollar drydock and is a full service marine repair facility with a separate rigging and hydraulics shop and an engine and boat sales business.

The loft is a turn-key business.  It's ready for some new energetic management to match the new developments in the US Virgin Islands. I'll give you as much training as you need, and then it's all up to you.  If that makes you nervous, don't worry; if I could do it so can you.

Why am I willing to sell?  I've had a great and proftable run in the sailing business these past 12 years but I am expanding into new business opportunities and want to grow my interests and activities in a new direction.  The sail loft business is solid, but it is time for me to move on and let someone with new energy take it over and grow it even further.
