The Devon Yacht Club is a 106 year old private club in Amagansett, NY. It has a range of member boats- from lasers, sunfish, 420’s, optimist, Alerions and cruisers. In the season the club runs races most weekends weather permitting! The club hosts regattas and outside sailing events.

Eastern Long Island – the playground for the rich and famous. Amagansett is about 2.5 hours from Manhattan (plenty of train and bus services available). The Atlantic Ocean is just a couple of blocks south of Main Street, so a vacation here could be spent enjoying the beach. There are several restaurants, hotels and beach activities around.

Job Title:  Sailing Director

Pay:  $30,000

Overtime:  Paid @ 150% if available.

Housing: Provided, free of charge.  Apt. on property.  Housing deposit of $35.00 per week, which is refundable at end of contract.

May 25th 2011  to  Labor Day

Sailing resume should include having recently ran a successful youth sailing program with optimist and 420’s.

Certifications required:  Level II Instructor, First Aid, CPR taken in 2011. Individual will be responsible for youth program Tuesday through Saturday Morning (races)  with a staff of 5-6 instructors.  Director and staff will oversee Sunfish & Laser races on Saturday afternoons and  Alerion races on Sunday afternoons. Sailing director reports to Program Director and General Manager.

–          the average week is 6 days of work with Mondays off.

End of Season Bonus,  Additionally, Meals, housing, bicycles, washing machines, clothes dryers, internet service are all included free of charge.
